B for Boy comes before G for Girl and M before W. But, X before Y...The battle of the sexes takes a conversational turn, using movement and spoken word to duke it out and come to a fresh understanding. This piece conceived by Erinina Marie Ness, co-created and performed with Evan Shafran and directed by Genevieve Gearhart addresses and tackles the confines of that gender box we all get put into. What is it that really makes us who we are? Watch as Erinina and Evan ponder over a Y-chromosome and laugh as they stumble through the mazes of communication in a technological world.
If There's Jack-in-the-Box, Get Out! was the first show to be launched by Mir Productions, enjoyed a very successful debut at Six Figures Theater Company's Artists of Tomorrow Festival at the West End Theater and was subsequently remounted at the Gene Frankel Underground with support from Groove Mama Ink.
